REcipe makes 24 cookies
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowel and whisk together.
In a small pan melt butter over medium- medium high heat. Butter will bubble and foam as it melts. Allow it to brown and stir with rubber spatula until it just passes a golden brown hue.
Once browned carefully pour butter into a large bowl. Add an ice cube to cool quickly.
Fold sugar into the butter, then mix in eggs.
Add wet ingredients into the flour mixture. Gentle mix until just combined then fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
Refrigerate cookie dough for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degree. Scoop or roll dough into 1.5 inch balls. Space 3 inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Repeat, sprinkle with coarse salt if you desire, let cool and enjoy!
The best way to enjoy chocolate chip cookies with delicious brown butter mixed throughout. The flavor provides a subtle toasted, nutty essence that similar to toffee or caramel that just give you the feeling of extra warmth and coziness! These cookies are definitely top tier and forever favorite of mine. Please note, I like my chocolate chip cookies light on the chocolate, feel free to add 1 cup if you like yours more balanced with with traditional amounts of chocolate.
