Filet Mignon with Herb-Shallot Butter

Ingredients

2-6 oz Filet Mignons (1.5 inch thick)

2 TB Avocado Oil

2 TB Softened Butter

1 TB Minced Shallot

1 TB Chopped Herbs (parsley, rosemary and /or chives)

Salt & Pepper to taste

 
 

Directions


1. Bring filet to room temperature prior to cooking.

2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Pat filet dry with paper towel and season liberally with salt and pepper.

2. Heat an oven safe pan on the stovetop using medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot add oil and place steak in pan for 2-3 minutes on one side and once a golden crust forms flip and cook for 2-3 minutes on the other side.

4. Place entire pan in oven for 5 minutes for a medium rare filet. Use a cooking thermometer to ensure desired doneness is reached. 129 degrees Fahrenheit- medium rare, 140 degrees Fahrenheit- for medium

5. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing or serving.

Herb-Shallot Butter

  1. Combine softened butter, minced shallot, herbs, salt and pepper.

  2. Serve on top of filets

  3. Enjoy
