Cheers to Black Girl Magic

“Black Girl Magic” is a concept that was created to celebrate the beauty, power, resilience, and amazing facets of black women. But the phrase is so much more than that. For me, it’s an energy and has been a beautiful, inspiring reminder to let my brightness shine unapologetically! I learned about this wine collection by the McBride Sisters in late 2019, but it wasn’t until this Summer that I discovered that my local Total Wine started carrying all three varietals. You already know I had to get them all!

The McBride’s aren’t only sisters, they’re also vintners. In their story they share their belief that a bond can form over a bottle of wine. The brand they’ve built is now the largest black owned wine brand in the United States! These sisters are the epitome Black Girl Magic! Each bottle references that the wine “signifies the MAGIC within us that allows us to persevere, to create, and SLAY with the best and with so much finesse.” Read more on their story here.

I conducted my own wine tasting prior to reading the back of each bottle or doing any research. It’s always interesting to see how your personal taste compares to the intentions and taste of the winemakers. I’d love to hear what you think of these wines!
